Immediate opportunity for a CC&B Technical Architect to be responsible for the design and build of applications deployed along with the custom elements. The Technical Architect works as a team member along with the Technical Lead, Project Manager, Developer and Functional Team to deliver application support for the customer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a technical liaison between customer, technical project teams and senior management
- Produce a detailed technical design document to match the functional requirements
- Develop test strategies and other SDLC artifacts that ensures adherence to both internal and external SDLC compliance
- Complete/oversee the custom development and quality assurance efforts for custom work
- Interface with customers in order to extract the business rules required to support the deployment of enhancements
- Document changes to CC&B configuration
- Ensure all project comply with SDLC requirements
- Provide customer training as required
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities. Additional preferred qualifications are:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent preferred
- Experience with Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) and PeopleSoft
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Knowledge in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints
- Should have hands-on expertise in some of the following technologies: C++Java/J2EE, including SOAP, .NET and related technologies (JSON, XML), and Database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, JDBC, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures)
- Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering software that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in professional services or development.
